This weekend’s wedding was at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, FL. Stacie wore a gorgeous vintage-inspired of white gown with beading throughout. She wore clip in extensions to add more body to her already gorgeous long hair. We did light airbrush makeup and used MAC eyeshadows such as Phloof! and Sketch. After the ceremony, first dance and hora, the bride changed into a sexy little white dress that made the party even better!
Sunday was a beautiful day in Key Largo. I was at the Hilton Key Largo. Nicole (the bride) looked dazzling in her strapless beaded gown. There were 12 beautiful bridesmaids who were an absolute blast, keeping the day fun. The backdrop was the beautiful blue ocean and gorgeous mangroves. The bridesmaids wore adorable tea length purple dresses and purple orchids in their hair. here are some photos from the day.
I had the opportunity to spend the day with a beautiful bride from Texas who came to South Florida for a destination wedding. Her sisters were her bridesmaids, and looked absolutely beautiful. They got married at the Wyndham Hotel in Deerfield Beach. Here are some before and after’s!!….
The 20 Best Hairstyles for Any Wedding
The bells are officially ringing for wedding season! Whether you’re a spouse-to-be, a maid of honor, a guest, or even a Pinterest-addicted aspiring bride, these matrimony-appropriate looks are sure to bring out your inner celebrity on the big day.

Inspired by Grace Kelly on her wedding day, Emmy Rossum’s tiara-topped braided chignon imparts a polished elegance. Rick Gradone, the hairstylist behind the showstopping ‘do, explained how to pull off a crown in the twenty-first century: “The sleekness of this look keeps it more elegant and contemporary, whereas softer and fuller styles make tiaras look more prom queen or pageant-like. The look has to be as clean and kempt as possible.” Gradone also recommended following the shape of the headpiece for maximum impact. “Since this Chopard tiara was angled into a v, I drew a middle part that directly paralleled its peak and allowed me to sculpt the hair into a similar silhouette,” he said. “Then I crafted the braid at the nape of the neck so that the end of the tiara met right at the middle of the bun, which gives the eye a nice line to follow.”
With its tousled and organic framework that flows into a more carefully crafted low chignon, Jennifer Lawrence’s updo provides the best of both worlds. “It is still formal, but fun and romantic,” said Jen Atkin, who counts Lawrence as a client. “This look would be great for a fall wedding or for a modern bride who isn’t afraid of playing with texture in her hair.”
“A fresh and cool braid offsets a powerful and more mature ball gown,” said hairstylist Andy LeCompte, referencing Liu’s voluminous dress that she wore to this year’s Golden Globes. “It makes the whole style look edgy rather than lady.” What’s more, such intricate plaits still tie in the decadence of a statement-making gown without turning it fussy. To get the look, LeCompte constructed a reverse French braid around the head on both sides of the part, “which gives hair more volume and also helps to show off the dimensions of the braid on dark hair.”
Hair guru Giannandrea conjured up a refreshing take on the classic French twist with Watts’ deconstructed and windswept version at the Oscars. “I wanted to pull the hair away from the face without it looking too constricting of too coiffed,” he explained. “Its height and softened texture give the style a more womanly sensibility.”
Nicole Kidman’s elaborate updo proves hairstylist Mara Roszak is more than just a one-trick pony: the twisted bun placed off to one side paired with the faint braid and the gilded pin give this look interest from every angle. “Nicole’s dress was very sexy and glamorous and I wanted to contrast that with a cool, textured updo that was a bit tousled,” Roszak said of her inspiration.
Reese Witherspoon channeled an old-Hollywood movie star at the Oscars this year with Veronica Lake-esque waves, which were made modern with brushed out, loose curls instead of stiff and cramped coils. “It’s pure beauty and glamour and just perfect for a special occassion,” said Campora, who was responsible for giving Witherspoon the vintage-inspired mane. “Hair pulled all to one side shows off the neck and earrings, and at the same time it both opens and frames the face.”
About 75% of my brides want longer, fuller, thicker hair for their wedding. They always ask me about which types of hair extensions work best for them. There are many different types of extensions, but my two favorites to work with are clip in extensions, and tape in extensions.
If your hair is short or fine and needs that little extra boost in length or volume, then you should try hair extensions. Hair extensions are the best way to create that much needed fullness without your styles looking tacky or artificial. However, you do need to choose a good quality set of hair extensions to accomplish this and wow everyone with the fabulousness of your styles.
Clip in hair extensions are an affordable and effective way of creating the illusion of body and length in your looks, but what are the best ones to use?
With clip in hair extensions, you get wefts of hair that are lined with comb-like clips along the top. These clips latch onto your natural hair easily and can be removed when the style is no longer needed. Different types of clip in hair extensions provide different results, for example, synthetic clip ins are cheaper but the result won’t be as amazing as if you were to use natural clip in extensions.
The best clip in hair extensions are those that use quality human hair in each weft. Only this ensures that your styles will look absolutely natural and utterly fab. Human hair clip in extensions have a lot of advantages. For one thing you can style the hair as easily as your own, unlike synthetic hair extensions which have a different weight and consistency. With quality human hair you are able to blow dry, straighten, curl, wash, cut and color the extensions to your heart’s content (as long as it looks good). The higher the quality of hair, the longer the clip ins will last and the better the results will be. Ask your stylist to match your hair with the best possible texture and color for your hair and event!!
Of course, you need to take into account that high quality human hair clip in extensions are pricier than others so be prepared to invest!
The other type of extension I recommend are tape in extensions.
What are Seamless hair extensions?
Well they are just what they say really, in place of the usual clip in a hair weft there is a piece of double sided tape, designed to be undetectable when placed on the scalp. Seamless Tape hair extensions can be washed and styled as normal, you can use your regular hair products, they are designed to be lightweight and to not drag or hurt, so they are suitable for those with fine hair. Tape hair extensions are semi permanent and can last up to 5-6 months dependent on specific circumstance. They are simple to apply and even easier to take out. You can reuse them over and over.
Reusable seamless hair extensions are pre taped and made from high quality Remi cuticle 100% human hair. It requires no adhesives on the scalp, no weaving, braiding, clips, bonding, chemicals or messy removal. This system is completely seamless with no bumps. You can wear your hair up or down. Ideal for people with thinning hair and for adding length or volume or simply adding highlights without chemicals. The best part is that they are reusable and completely safe on the hair. These extensions are best suited for those who want longer thicker hair on a more permanent basis.
Beach Wedding Q&A:
Q: Will my makeup last through the hot sun, wind and last all night?
Jen: I use a lightweight, water-based airbrush formula. The results are flawless, even coverage with unbeatable staying power. I also use waterproof eye products including lash glue so everything stays in place. The only things needed would be lip gloss for touchups, and maybe blotting papers if you are very oily.
Q: How will you make my hair stay in the style we choose, for the entire night?
Jen: The most important day of your life means having everything in place. One of my most critical pieces of advice is to not fight Mother Nature. If you know your hair NEVER holds a curl, you may opt to wear your hair in a low chignon or organically messy up do. It will stay in place, and you won’t have to worry about hair falling flat. If you have a slight wave to your hair, you are at an advantage, as wavy hair holds curls much better than straight hair. If your hair is super curly, you may want to wear it curly, or in a low, side bun with a braid or two to keep the style looking fresh. No matter what style you choose, I will help to create a style that will last through the last dance.
Q: What type of hair accessories would you recommend I use for my beach wedding?
Jen: I particularly love flowers, fresh flowers. Ask your florist to “wire” some small orchids (white for dark hair), or (colored for blonde hair). The wired orchids will stick in the hair much better than if they aren’t wired. Another option is a crystal pin, such as a starfish, or flower. A veil is a beautiful option, but just keep in mind it may be windy on the beach, and you surely won’t want to get into a wrestling match with your veil. Something finger length would probably work best.
Q: What happens if I decide I want touchups after the ceremony?
Jen: I am happy to stay as long as you would like to provide touchups, a second look or just for a curl or two. I do charge an hourly rate of $100. to stay for touchups after all work has been completed.
Whether you’re a huge fan or not, it’s hard not to notice the influence Mad Men has had on the revival of 1950’s and 1960’s style. With that in mind, I’ve decided to show you how to pick your hairstyle and dress for a Mad Men style wedding. You can take as much or as little as you like and adapt it to suit your own personality.
The styles are very 60’s inspired, with elegant eyes (cat-like liner), and soft finger waves. I love the red lipstick and pale cheek and eyes. I love the use of the birdcage veil to give that classic look….
Why You Need Airbrush Makeup for Brides on Your Big Day
by Ritzvb41 on November 19, 2010 · 0 comments
The day a woman walks down the aisle, she’ll definitely want to look her best. Your wedding day will be remembered in hundreds of photographs you’ll stow away in a treasured photo album for years to come.
However, the last thing you need is for someone to point out how cakey your makeup seemed, or how easily they could see your freckles. If you want to look naturally flawless on your wedding day – and every time you look back on the memories – then airbrush makeup for brides is your only solution!
Airbrush makeup for brides is a major trend in bride makeup because of the benefits, especially for wedding day wear. Some of the benefits you can reap by choosing airbrush makeup for brides are:
• A Flawless yet natural look – Airbrush makeup never sinks into your pores. Instead, it remains on the surface of your skin. However, airbrush makeup for brides won’t end up curdling on your face, nor will it smear like conventional makeup. So, your guests may start wondering whether you even have any makeup on.
• No touch ups required – If you plan on using conventional makeup, you will have to have extra cosmetics and loose powder around to make sure your makeup lasts throughout. On the other hand, airbrush makeup for brides sets on your skin the minute you spray it, and stays intact for more than 12 hours straight.
• A pimple-free honeymoon – Conventional makeup has different components which irritate most skin types. For example, alcohol dries up dry skin, whereas silicone is a nuisance to acne-prone skin. Airbrush makeup for brides is usually water-based, making it suitable for all skin types. So, you’ll be able to enjoy clear skin on your honeymoon, rather than waste your time rubbing in different skin care products.
If you’re sold on the wise idea of using airbrush makeup for brides, start hunting for a spa or beauty salon that offers this must-have service. However, before you surrender your face to the airbrush makeup artist, make sure of the kit he/she will be using. On this site, you can easily discover some of the top airbrushing kits that will make your experience with airbrush makeup for brides quite exciting.
Once you’re fully satisfied with the products and the place, you can rest assured your groom will fall in love with your wedding day face too.
